Also, my husband works here so as a family we know that a lot of work goes into rescuing 66 million pounds of food!! Today, City Harvest is New York City’s largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the nearly 1.2 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables. City Harvest exists to end hunger in communities throughout New York City.

This year, City Harvest will rescue 66 million pounds of food that would otherwise go to waste and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community partners across the five boroughs.
