How To Easily Throw A Tailgating Party

Family was the underlying theme of the last game day tailgating party. As a family, we love watching our favorite team while enjoying good food and each other’s company. Of course, you think tailgating at the stadium, however, we literally partied outside our apartment in Brooklyn. Tailgating was not something I grew up with but we are starting new traditions with my family.

I know what you are saying to yourself, parties are so much of a hassle, but trust me throwing a fun game day tailgating party does not take that much work. I’m going to show you how easy it is to throw your own tailgating party with these few tips.

1) Decorations

Every party store in the USA is stocking up with all their football décor. Pick your team’s color and keep it simple with a sign and matching blanket to lay on the back of your car or on the grass for a picnic. My kids made this banner as a pre-game day activity.

2) Food

Another good idea for a successful tailgating party is the food of course! I’m a busy mom so if I can order it and not have to worry about missing anything that’s what I’m aiming for. We decided to order from Jersey Mikes Catering. We went with the Personalized Boxed Lunches. Everything was packed individually for all of us, which included a sub, a bag of chips, and a cookie. No mess no stress. You can also order Subs by the Box that can serve 10. They also offer  Subs by the Bag. Order your favorite subs off the menu! Just unwrap the subs and dig in! Delicious, easy and a great value.

Sub Sizes:

• Mini (Feeds 1)

• Regular, Wrap, or Tub (Feeds 2)

• Giant (Feeds 4)

You can easily order online, pick a location and time for pick up. It was super convenient for me. I literally made my order on my commute to work and it took me only about 5 minutes. Make sure you bookmark this post since you will be coming back to re-order subs for all your future events. You can’t say I didn’t warn you. Read more about Jersey Mike’s subs here.

3) Have fun

Since you didn’t break your head with décor and cooking there is more time for fun. Have the kids play flip the bottle or play some football-themed trivia. And of course, don’t forget the football! My kids are always ready to toss the ball around during halftime.

Now you’re ready for some fun!! Game Day is here and you’re absolutely ready. Do you have any traditions for your game day tailgating parties?
