Make it a Karaoke Night

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post.

Summer is over guys and you guys have been following along this fun colorful scrapbook journey with Tampico.  This month we are showcasing our talents and how we implement them in our monthly family activities. If you follow me on Instagram you would know that we are a musical family. We all play musical instruments and some of us even sing. Since my husband and I grew up around musicians it was obvious that singing and music would play a big role in our lives. To practice our singing we have monthly karaoke nights plus its a great way to have some family bonding. We even host our friends and family at times and it is actually a thing the Angustias do now. So if you been invited to our monthly karaoke night at our home it meant you are super special.  So you want to know how our karaoke night are so successful, I’m going to show you!

Make a theme

We pick either a genre, year, and even something as an artist starting with a specific letter. Last month we did 80’s rock and this month we did artists starting with the letter S. I sang “Como La Flor” from Selena as if I was in an arena filled with thousands and danced cumbia all over the living room.

Decorations

We use wrapping paper to cover the wall for our specific themes or just go for colorful all over. You can also use balloons to spell out your themes.  Keep it simple and fun.

Props

We don’t wear costumes but perhaps that’s something your family would enjoy. We do use toy mics the echo our voices, the kids especially love this.  You can also have props such as cowboys hats for a country-style karaoke night or some big gold chains for 80’s hip hop night.

Snacks

You know its no party without the snacks. We love enjoying some freshly popped popcorn with a cup of Tampico Zero juice. Tampico Zero contains five calories per serving and comes in two flavors; Mango Punch and Citrus Punch.

Let loose

Sometimes singing in public and even in front of your own family can be scary. I always start and show my kids that it’s ok to let loose and not be afraid to sing and be happy about it. This has given my kids that extra boost of confidence.

I hope you guys found these tips resourceful to plan your next family Karaoke night. Make sure to check out the rest of the #ITsACollerfullLife posts listed below. Thank you, Tampico for sponsoring all these fun posts.
